Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles in well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. The characters he has played on television are gaining him lots of popularity. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab people's attention with his characters who are on either side of the law. He was the character of the serial killer on his first television project as well as later portrayed an NYPD detective. Multiple times he was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The actor is famous for his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. People's magazine's 2006 list of Sexiest Men Alive included him.
